Coming Spring 2024

Travel Grants

In 2024, the PNS will award up to (30) $500 USD travel grants to those presenting abstracts at the Annual Meeting from under-resourced countries. Meeting registration fees will also be waived for those awarded a travel grant.

Grant Application & Abstract Submission Deadline: 15 November 2023

Notification of Acceptance: 1 December 2023

To Apply: Applications will be collected in conjunction with the abstract submission process.

Applicant Requirements
  • Applicants must reside in an under-resourced World Bank country (GNI per capita of $13,845 or less).
  • Applicants must have an accepted abstract and be designated as the presenting author on the abstract. Only those that present an abstract in-person at the meeting will be awarded the travel grant (funds to be awarded post-meeting).
  • A letter of support by a PNS member is requested, but if you are from a country where this is very difficult or impossible, please mention this in your uploaded letter, and the requirement will be waived.
  • If there are more than 30 applicants, the International Outreach, Membership & Diversity Committee will rank the applicants based on the merit of their presentation, the scientific-economic state of the country, and the PNS member’s recommendation letter.
  • All Grant Applications will be collected within the 2024 PNS Abstract Submission Site (no exceptions).

Abstract Prizes

Junior investigators presenting abstracts at the PNS Annual Meeting are eligible for consideration of an abstract prize. The PNS awards 8 $750 USD cash prizes in various research areas. Each prize is named after a luminary in the field and commemorates their contributions in their area of research.
