Peripheral Nerve Clinician and Scientist Trainees

Welcome

Welcome current and prospective PNS junior members! The PNS defines junior status as trainees (graduate/medical students, postdoctoral fellows, medical fellows, etc) and members recently promoted to a fixed academic or clinical position (within three years). The PNS views its junior members as an asset and has thus prioritized junior member engagement, education and career development. To fulfill this goal, the PNS junior committee was established. This committee is made up exclusively of junior members and focuses on initiatives to enhance junior member training, development and career advancement. The content on this and associated pages has been curated by the junior committee and serves as a resource hub for this purpose. Additionally, we encourage you to connect with the junior committee to let us know how we can better serve you.  Thank you and look forward to hearing from you!

PNS Structure

Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS) leadership is organized into three interlinked structures: PNS board, PNS Committees, and Special Interest Groups.

The PNS Board includes elected officers, members at large and representatives from other PNS groups. The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing all PNS activities and developing a strategic plan for the future of the organization.

The PNS Committees were established to develop programs and opportunities in order to continually strengthen and improve the PNS.

The PNS also supports thematically-focused consortia called Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to facilitate interactions between scientists and clinicians in the same field. Currently, there are five SIGS:
