Nerve Connect
President’s Message Vol. 16 2026
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to share the exceptional response to abstract submissions for the 2026 PNS Annual Meeting in Maastricht, the Netherlands. A record-breaking 661 abstracts have been submitted. Based on this strong engagement, we anticipate that PNS 2026 will once again exceed attendance projections, underscoring the continued growth and vitality for the peripheral nerve field.
We are also pleased to recognize the commitment of five Annual Partners this year. Our sincere thanks go to argenx, AstraZeneca, CSL Behring, Sanofi, and Takeda for their ongoing support of the PNS. Their generous contributions make our annual meeting possible and uniquely enable us to offer complimentary registration for junior member abstract presenters, as well as travel grants for colleagues from under-resourced countries.
The Scientific Program Committee, with the contribution of the Special Interest Group Boards, the Education, Finance, Junior, and the International Outreach Committees, developed an outstanding program for this year’s meeting. We invite you to explore the featured speakers and full scientific content. Of note, the program also includes novel initiatives, as per the PNS Strategic Plan (2025-2027), aimed at increasing PNS global impact; junior member engagement and visibility, and at corroborating PNS partnership with our key stakeholders, the patient advocacy groups.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Maastricht Local Organizing Committee for their hospitality. Finally, our sincerest thanks go to the dedicated PNS Executive Office team, without whom the organization of our annual meetings would not be possible. Their collective efforts ensure that PNS 2026 will meet—and exceed—the high standards our community has come to expect.
We look forward to welcoming you to Maastricht in June for an inspiring and memorable meeting filled with cutting-edge science.
Sincerely,
