Jul 10, 2026 | Nerve Connect

By Paola Alberti, MD, PhD & Susanna Park, PhD

The Traumatic and Toxic Neuropathy Consortium (TTNC) of the Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS) has launched a dedicated, 6-part podcast series focusing on Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN). Hosted by Prof. Susanna Park (University of Sydney) and Dr. Paola Alberti (University of Milano-Bicocca), this series bridges the gap between cutting-edge scientific research and real-world clinical practice.

CIPN remains one of the most challenging and treatment-limiting complications of modern cancer therapy. By bringing together leading international experts, this podcast explores the condition from every angle, from cellular mechanisms to the lived experience of patients.

Episodes are released monthly throughout 2026, with the first half of the series already available for streaming.

From Bench to Bedside and Beyond

The podcast kicks off with fundamental science, as Prof. Guido Cavaletti breaks down the complex cellular pathways that trigger neurotoxicity. Moving into the clinic, Prof. Maryam Lustberg offers a vital oncological perspective on balancing cancer treatment efficacy with neurotoxic side effects, followed by Prof. Roser Velasco‘s perspective on the future of precision medicine and predictive biomarkers.

Listeners can also download the latest episode on clinical translation and symptom management with A/Prof. Jennifer Gewandter. The series will continue over the coming months to explore the cutting-edge frontier of neuroimmunology with Dr. Grace Shin, before concluding with a powerful, first-hand account of living with CIPN from patient advocate Jayne E. Schack.
